According to the Save the Children, Mother Index, the United States ranks 38th in the world of the best places to be a mother…38th… the United States of America!! “A woman in the US is more than five times as likely as a woman in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Greece or Italy to die from pregnancy-related causes in her lifetime and her risk of maternal death is nearly 10-fold that of a woman in Ireland,” the report said as well as the fact that we have high infant mortality and a low pre-school enrollment.
