MamaBlogger365 - Celebrating 10 Years of Nurturing Your Success® by Coach Julie, RN

For the past 10 years, I have been coaching, educating, inspiring and motivating you to be your personal best. Ten years! It’s been an amazing time of growth and change. I feel so blessed to be helping you maximize your potential and to be your personal best as you navigate through this lifetime.

Of course, it’s not just about you; it’s also about me! I could not do this work if I were not on my own personal journey toward being and living my best life. Nurturing Your Success was born shortly after my third lay off in 2001. I took some time to assess what I really wanted for myself and my life, how I wanted to contribute to society, and what was really important to me. I needed to define ‘success’ so I could then learn how to create it because the path I had been traveling did not seem to be getting me the results I wanted.

What I learned through this period of self-discovery was that more than anything I value personal development and being the best we can be – we just don’t always know how to be great and that is the focus of my work with Nurturing Your Success®. I also returned to psychiatric nursing, which supports my efforts to help us accept ourselves and be all we are capable of being.

MamaBlogger365 - How Do You Envision Success in the New Year? by Coach Julie, R.N.

How would you like your life/career to be different at the end of 2012? Yes, I know the year is just getting started.

Without a direction to head, you will float and your ship will sail wherever the wind blows.

When the years go by and you say to yourself “Where has the time gone?” this means you’ve not set your course for success. You’re sailing through life without a direction.
If you consider what you might want to accomplish this year, then you can focus your efforts and take the steps required to make that vision a reality. Do this each year and you live your life on purpose, with meaning and intention.

Success doesn’t happen by chance. It needs to be actively CREATED.

And so does a great life. It, too, needs to be CREATED. What do you want to celebrate at the end of 2012?

MamaBlogger365 - Gratitude Brings A Feeling of Peace and Well-Being by Coach Julie, RN

I love Thanksgiving because it is one of the few holidays where there are no gifts! The focus is just to spend time with people for no reason other than to enjoy their company. And eat, of course!

People often acknowledge me for my positive and upbeat attitude in life. I usually respond that this is much more fun than the alternative!

Gratitude plays a big role in your enjoyment of life. It requires certain things from you...

MamaBlogger365 - When You Don’t Honor Yourself It Hurts by Coach Julie, R.N.

Sue felt the tug in her body telling her that this wasn’t right but she ignored it – for years. And now, she is paying the price.

When we discussed the issue, which happened to be about her teeth, Sue realized several times in her life, she listened to the advice of so-called “experts” and feeling this tug that told her something wasn’t right, but she ignored her inner voice because, “Well, they were the experts so they knew better than me.”

MamaBlogger365 - The Answer to Your Prayers by Julie Donley, RN ~ Success Expert & Author of Does Change have to be so H.A.R.D.?

Have you ever prayed for something and wished for it and worked hard to get it but it just doesn’t come? We have all been in this place where we want something so badly we can almost taste it and it’s not here. We wonder ‘why?’ and often think, “Why me?” or “Why NOT me?” It is frustrating and emotional. We can feel angry and disappointed. There are expectations that if we envision what we want and do the work, then we should be able to have it right? That is, after all, what the law of attraction teaches us.

MamaBlogger365 - Lead with Values by Julie Donley, RN ~ Success Expert & Author of Does Change have to be so H.A.R.D.?

What is important to you in life? Do you know what your values are?

Values are those things that are priorities. These can be anything from nature and beauty, adventure, learning, having fun, or honor and integrity. You know these things because when you see them in others, they bring you joy. When you experience them for yourself, they bring you joy. And when you don’t have enough of them in your life, you feel empty, like life has lost meaning.

Too often, however, we live life without our values leading the way.

MamaBlogger365 - How Happy Are You Really? by Julie Donley, RN

During my assessment reviews with coaching clients, I always ask the question about happiness – are you happy?

Sometimes, people say yes and sometimes no. Many people think they are happy when in fact, they are not. This can often come as a revelation and it’s important because we cannot change what we are unaware of.

What’s amazing, however, is that far too many people are UNHAPPY.

One place on the assessment in particular demonstrates a person’s level of happiness. So let me ask you this key question, before I explain...
